 Filters (Desiccants and Dryers)
The LabClearT Gas Filter (dryer and desiccant) is designed to remove water, oil and other
heavy hydrocarbons from inert carrier gasses such as nitrogen, helium or argon. A mixture
of DrieriteŽ, an indicating desiccant, and a #13X molecular sieve are contained within the
transparent LabClearT canister. The DrieriteŽ desiccant will change color from blue
to pink with the absorption of moisture. The color change is readily observed through
the LabClearT body, indicating a need for refilling.
LabClear™ Gas Filters are offered in two main varieties:
- Disposable, and
- Refillable.
Disposable Filters:
We offer two models of disposable filters:
DGF-250, with 1/4" fittings, and
DGF-125, with 1/8" fittings.
Both these models contain indicating DrieriteŽ desiccant and #13X molecular sieve.
The body of the filter is constructed of clear PVC for easy viewing of the
DrieriteŽ color indication, which changes color from blue to pink with the
absorption of moisture and comes equipped with 1/8" or 1/4" brass male tube
compression fittings. Each unit is tested at 125 psi, and can withstand
temperatures up to 100°F.
The LabClearT Disposable Gas Filter is offered only in the 200 cc capacity with
the inline configuration, and is approximately 7" long by 2" in diameter.
Both these units are designed for a nominal flow rate of 5 liters per minute.

The small units are approximately 7 1/2" long (or tall, for RGFB) x 2" diameter.
The large units are approximately 14" long (or tall, for RGFB) x 2" diameter.
All models are tested at 120 psi and 100°F. They are designed for a nominal flow rate of 5 liters per minute.
Refill Kit
The LabClear™ cartridge in the refillable filters is easily refilled by removing the exhausted filler mixture and replacing it with the LabClear™ Refill Kit, an inexpensive and easy-to-use premixed refill of new materials.
- RK-400 has sufficient material for two refills of the 200 cc models, or one refil of the 400 ml models
- RK-2800 has sufficient material for seven refills of the 400 cc models. |
The OxiClear™ Gas Purifiers are oxygen-absorbing gas purifiers with high efficiency and
low resistance to gas flow. OxiClear™ Gas Purifiers are primarily designed for
applications involving gas chromatography, glove boxes and anaerobic experiments.
They remove oxygen and trace amounts of water and organics from inert carrier gasses
such as nitrogen, helium and argon. OxiClear™ purifiers are efficient to less than 5 ppb
when the incoming oxygen concentration is 15 ppm or less. Furthermore, all models can
withstand temperatures up to 100°C. All models are fitted with 60 micron stainless steel frits.
